You Tube Videos III

Come'n at you
I like this video for several reasons, not only is this clever but it actually sounds good! AND Michael Buble likes it too! Don't believe, watch his reply. Also of note, his wife is extremely attractive.

But don't stay inside watching Russian Unicorns all the time, Nature is pretty neat too.

and MERRY CHRISTMAS from 3 of my favorite muppets

Roald Amundsen

Yesterday marked 100 years since Roald Amundsen became the first person to make it to the South Pole! I am not certain how we are related but we are and I'm proud to be! We are connected, he and I, in more than my grandfather sharing his name. I come from a long line of Norwegians from the land north of the Arctic Circle, also known as Lapland, with a love for the snow and cold. The same adventurous spirit that compelled Roald on has driven me to places a small fraction of people have ever been. I have never been to such a remote place as the South Pole, but I one day hope to make it there and a thousand other places. Thank you Roald for your passion and spirit which now flows in my veins.

Youtube Videos II

Jon Gomm with an amazing song, Passionflower. I also really like Topeka.

The Backin Up song is a classic and I love it.

One last jam to wrap it up. You might have seen a part of it before but the full thing is pretty legit.

Going Pro

So check it, school has been crazy busy! I've finished my first block, Molecular Basis of Life and Disease, about a month ago, had a week off, and then back at it doing Neuro block. And all the while also studying for Anatomy. Taking Anatomy concurrently with MBLD lined up really well. There was a test every other week so plenty of time to stay up on all the information. It hasn't been the same with Neuro and Anatomy, 5 tests in 7 weeks makes for not all that much down time. I've had to study a lot, perhaps more than most since I'm not a genius.
* As a side note, going to Medical School is almost exactly like going on a mission. I only have medical things to talk about with people, and unless you have gone through medical school or have been working in the medical field for an extended period of time, you just don't get how things are for me*
So to give this post a point, even if I'm not able to do all the exciting things that I want to in my off time, sometimes exciting things come to me! As of November 8th, I am a published photographer! Its in a small outdoor adventure blog but it is published none-the-less. Check it out, its a good article about Grand Teton, and the other photos are pretty incredible company for me.

Here's the link to the website article

YouTube Videos I

I will be spending a lot of time on my computer because its what fun is. So as the first installment of YouTube Videos that I like.

Yelle - A Cause Des Garcons
First off, I wish I could dance like that but its going to take some practice time that I'm afraid I don't have. Second, because I don't go out dancing and I don't want to waste the time I don't have learning how to dance like this if I don't have to, do people really dance like this? And last, Yelle actually has some good songs that you can listen to without having to watch a video to make it any good.

You should have heard of the Potter Puppet Pals by now, but you may have forgotten about them because, let's face it, they are kinda dragging out the Harry Potter media extravaganza. If you haven't heard of the PPPs, thats ok because they really only have one other good 3 minute video anyway.

Week One

I have lived in Phoenix now for just over a week and a lot has happened in that week. For starters, I live in a one bedroom apartment by myself. This is the first time in my life that I will come home and not have a family or roommate there to greet me or who will show up later. It is really weird that I can come home and walk around in the buff if I wanted to (and its hot enough here that its not entirely a bad idea). The other huge change is that I am back in school. This past week has been orientation week and I have learned that you can spend a lot of time talking about nothing for a really long time. So let me give you a brief

Welcome to Medical School
First day of school
Remember to always wash your hands

What not to wear when seeing patients. I was lucky enough to be the one to model a hoochie

Chris Blog

I recently moved from Salt Lake City, Utah (where I lived my entire life) to Phoenix, Arizona on July 15th 2011. I know what you're thinking, and I have begun to think the exact same thing. Why in a world would I choose to move to Phoenix in the dead of summer? The answer is quite simple really, I was accepted to the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. It is now only the short matter of 4 years and many, many hours of studying before I will become a doctor.
I actually know several people who live down here, but, as luck would have it, they are almost all married. And those that aren't live out on in the suburbs while I live in downtown Phoenix. This may not be as big a deal as I have imagined it but for now its a big enough deal that I am essentially on my own. Which sucks, but is also part of why I'm writing a blog for crying out loud. What else have I got to do? The rest of the reasons that I'm writing this are (in order of importance) because I do really cool stuff, people used to like me and I'm hoping that this will remind them that they still do, and because I have a lot of things to say and no one to say them to because I don't really enjoy talking on the phone for an extended period of time.

So I would like to introduce you to my apartment. I live at Legacy Bungalows.
This is my building. I'm in 1056. Ground floor right behind the van, Corolla, and Prius.

I've got a great place and more room than I need. I think that I could probably fit 4 of my sister's apartments inside. I also have a bathroom but I didn't want to take a picture of it. There just wasn't a good angle.
